Are the apps really free?

Yes, all of them. No price, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no ads.

How do I join a beta?

Some apps are available as a public beta through Apple's TestFlight. Install TestFlight from the App Store, then click Join the beta on TestFlight on the app's page. When the app arrives on the App Store, you can switch to the store version at any time.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Email us at info@nimbleapps.ch. Beta testers can also send feedback and screenshots straight from the TestFlight app.

What do I need to use Nimble Bot?

A running Hermes Agent server (by Nous Research), and an iPhone or iPad with iOS / iPadOS 27, or a Mac with macOS 27 or later.

Can I try it without a Hermes server?

Yes. Open Explore the interface on the welcome screen to look around offline.

Does it work outside my home network?

Yes. Nimble Bot connects directly to your server, including over Tailscale, so you can reach your agent from anywhere without opening ports to the internet.

Do I need to get it separately for iPhone, iPad and Mac?

No. It's one app for all three. Get it once and it's available on every device signed in with your Apple Account.

Where are my conversations and credentials stored?

Your credentials stay in Apple's Keychain on your device. Conversations, memory and tools live on your own Hermes server. Nothing goes through us.

Is Nimble Bot made by Nous Research?

No. Nimble Bot is an independent app and not an official Nous Research product.

What file format does Nimble Task use?

Plain text, compatible with the TaskPaper format. Areas start with *, projects end with :, tasks start with -, and tags use @tagname. Any other line is a note. The file is yours, and any text editor can open it.

Nimble Task adds two things to standard TaskPaper: areas, to group projects into bigger buckets, and notes that belong to their project rather than to the task above them.

Where are my tasks stored?

In a text file you create and save wherever you like. Use one file or several (work, home, a side project) and open as many windows as you need.

Can I sync my tasks between Macs?

Yes. Keep your file in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or any other synced folder and open it from each Mac.

How do tags and filtering work?

Tags appear as pills above your list, and so do projects. Click one to filter, click more tags to narrow further, or press ⌘F to search.

You can keep editing while filtered. New tasks automatically get the tags you're filtering by, so they stay in view. Press Esc to go back to the full list.

How does Nimble Text work?

It opens with whatever is on your clipboard, as plain text. Edit away, then close the window (⌘W) or quit (⌘Q), and the whole text goes back to your clipboard, ready to paste.

Can I copy without closing, or save to a file?

Yes. ⇧⌘C copies everything, and ⌘S saves a plain-text file with whatever extension you choose.

Does it remove formatting?

Yes, that's the point. Copy rich text from a web page, PDF, email or document, and Nimble Text gives you plain text only: no fonts, colors, links or styles.

Does Nimble Text keep my clipboard anywhere?

No. It has no network access and only writes to disk when you save a file yourself.

How does sorting and tagging work?

Open a folder and press one key per photo: 0 Delete, 1 Unclassified, 2 Keep, 3 Star, 4 Select. Each key tags the photo with a Finder tag, and you can then filter by tag to see what's left.

Does Nimble Photo move, copy or rename my files?

Never. It works on your folders in place. Your choices are written as standard macOS Finder tags on each file, and nothing else changes.

Where are my choices stored?

In the files themselves, as Finder tags. They show up in Finder and Spotlight and travel with the file to another Mac. Nimble Photo also keeps a local cache for speed; delete it any time and it rebuilds from your files, with nothing lost.

Which formats are supported?

JPEG, HEIC, PNG, WebP, TIFF and RAW (CR2, DNG, RAF) photos, plus MP4, MOV and M4V videos, all sorted together by date taken.

Can I rename the categories?

Yes. "Star" can become "Portfolio", "Select" can become "Client picks". Keys and colors stay the same, and Nimble Photo updates the tags on files you've already sorted.

Which albums can I export?

Regular albums, smart albums and shared albums. Folders in Photos are mirrored as folders on disk.

Do I get the original files?

Yes, in full original quality. If you edited a photo, the edited version is saved next to the original. Photos that live only in iCloud are downloaded at full resolution automatically.

What happens if I export to the same folder twice?

Nimble Albums asks once whether to skip, replace or keep both copies, and applies your choice to everything.

Does it change my Photos library?

No. Nimble Albums only reads your library.

Does Nimble Name include an AI model?

No. It needs a local AI server running on your Mac, such as oMLX, LM Studio or Ollama. The server and its models are not part of the app: install one, download a model, start it, then point Nimble Name at it in the settings.

Are my documents sent anywhere?

No. Nimble Name only talks to the AI server on your Mac, so your documents never leave it. (If you point it at a server hosted elsewhere, your documents go there instead, under that server's terms.)

Can I undo a rename?

Yes. Nothing is renamed until you confirm, and one click undoes the whole batch.

What do I need?

An Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 26 or later, plus a local AI server as described above. Supported files are PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF and WebP.
